Your Doll Just Arrived. Now What?
Take a breath. Don't attack the box with a kitchen knife. π

Last Update 2 bulan yang lalu
After weeks of waiting, the box finally shows up at your door.
You look at it.
You look at the tracking page one last time.
Then you probably think:
βWell... she's finally here.β
We get it.
But before you turn that box into confetti, take a few minutes to do things in the right order.
A little patience during the first 30 minutes can save you a lot of trouble later.
1. Before You Open the Box β Take a Few Photos
This is the boring part.
It's also the part you'll be very glad you did if something unexpected happens.
Before opening the package, take a few photos of:
- the entire box
- all visible sides
- the shipping label
- any dents, tears or holes
- anything that looks unusual
If possible, record a simple unboxing video from the unopened package onward.
You don't need a professional camera.
Your phone is fine.
The idea is simply to create a clear record of what the package looked like when it arrived.
And yes, you can stop recording once everything looks good.
We're not asking you to film a feature-length documentary called:
βThe Box: A Love Story.β
π
2. Keep the Box and Packaging β At Least for Now
Please don't immediately throw everything into the trash.
Keep the:
- outer box
- foam
- protective materials
- plastic wrapping
- straps
- other original packaging
at least until you've finished inspecting the doll and are completely satisfied that everything arrived safely.
Large products are much easier to deal with when you still have the original packaging.
And if you ever need to move or store the doll later, you'll probably be very happy you didn't destroy the box on Day One.
3. Opening the Box
This sounds obvious, but please be careful with sharp tools.
Don't put a knife deep into the box.
There may be protective material or parts of the doll directly underneath.
Use a shallow cut along the tape instead.
Open the box gradually rather than treating it like you're opening a treasure chest after finding the Holy Grail.
4. Don't Pull the Doll Out by the Arms, Legs or Head
This is especially important with a large, heavy doll.
A 30+ kg doll isn't exactly a pillow.
When removing her from the box, support the body properly and, if possible, have another person help you.
A second pair of hands is cheap.
A gym membership is more expensive.
And a damaged doll is considerably more expensive. π
If you're doing it alone, take your time and make sure you have enough space before moving her.
Don't try to win a wrestling match with a 35 kg box.
The box has home-field advantage.
5. Seeing Some Wrinkles or Temporary Marks? Don't Panic.
Your doll has probably spent some time being:
- packaged
- protected
- compressed
- transported
- moved through warehouses
- loaded onto trucks
So when she first comes out of the box, she may not look exactly like the photographs on the product page.
You may notice:
- temporary pressure marks
- wrinkles
- flattened hair
- slightly unusual positioning
- limbs or joints sitting differently
- minor deformation from packaging
This doesn't automatically mean something is wrong.
Think of it as βshipping mode.β
Give the material some time to relax and return to its normal shape.
Don't immediately start bending, pulling or heating things because you think you've discovered a disaster.
6. Let Her Settle Down
Once she's out of the packaging, place her somewhere clean, dry and spacious.
Let the material relax naturally.
Don't immediately force every limb into the perfect position.
Don't pile heavy objects on top of her.
And don't use random heat sources to try to βfixβ temporary marks.
Time is usually your friend here.
If something looks unusual after unpacking, take a photo and contact us before attempting any repair or modification yourself.
7. What About the Hair?
If your doll has implanted hair, the hair may look a little flattened or messy after transportation.
That's normal.
Gently separate the hair with your fingers first.
Then use appropriate gentle care if needed.
Avoid aggressive brushing or pulling.
Think:
hairdresser β not lawn mower.
π
Give it some time to recover from its journey.
8. What About the Skin?
The surface may look slightly different immediately after unpacking because of the way the doll was packed and protected.
First, simply inspect the surface under normal lighting.
Don't immediately cover the doll in random oils, chemicals or household cleaning products.
If cleaning is necessary, use only products and methods appropriate for the material.
If you're unsure whether something is safe for silicone or TPE, ask us before using it.
A five-second question can save you from a very expensive experiment.
9. Check the Arms, Legs and Joints
Before doing anything else, gently check the major moving areas.
Look for:
- obvious damage
- unusual cracks
- loose components
- anything that looks different from the approved photos/videos
Move things gently.
You don't need to test how far something can bend.
The first inspection is about checking condition, not breaking a world record.
10. First Placement β Give Her a Proper Home
Before moving the doll into position, make sure the surface is:
- clean
- dry
- stable
- large enough
- free from sharp edges
Remember that these dolls are heavy.
A narrow bed, weak chair or unstable surface may not be suitable.
Don't discover the laws of physics the expensive way.
11. Do I Need to Do Anything Before First Use?
First, inspect the doll and make sure everything looks correct.
If you notice anything unusual, contact us before use.
This is especially important if you believe there may be shipping damage.
Once you're satisfied that everything is okay, you can move on to your normal care routine.
There's no need to rush.
You've already waited for the package.
A few extra minutes for a proper setup isn't going to kill the mood.
12. One Last Thing β Don't Throw Away the Evidence
Once everything looks good, you can decide what packaging you want to keep.
But we'd recommend keeping the original packaging for a while, especially for a large and expensive product.
You never know when you'll need to move, store or transport the doll.
Future You may look at that giant cardboard box and think:
βThank God I didn't throw that thing away.β

Inspect first.
Settle everything properly.
Then enjoy your new companion.
The unboxing is only the beginning. π
